I truly wish this book was much more about how to listen and understand your body then about Lizzo and celebrities and oppressors. In order to understand intuitive eating you do not need this book just feel and understand how food effects your body. Being a big person myself I have experienced the problems of carrying to much weight from knee problems, back pain, sleepyness from food, the feeling of overeating, eating for emotional release and many other issues I can tell you sometimes just accepting yourself is not always the key and changes need to be made or you will die.

My concern is that certain unhealthy people will read this book and use it as an excuse to remain the same. I was under the impression this book would be more about the science of intuitive eating and less of a political agenda sorrounding body image.
